The formula for finding the slope is
m = y - y/x -x
We know that the points are (x, y)

So we substitute the given points into the formula:

m = -2 - (-2)/8 - 1
m = -2 + 2/7 (two negative signs join as an addition sign)
m = 0/7 = 0
m = 0
