The absolute value of -12.5 is?

|-12.5| = 12.5

The absolute value of a negative number is the number that is exactly opposite on the number line, being a positive number. A positive number's absolute value is always the same thing, positive. Examples:-

|10| = 10
|-10| = 10
|-8.5| = 8.5
|8.5| = 8.5


|-12.5| = 12.5
