The equation that should be used is T = 16p, where T = the amount to make and p = the amount of people.

We know this because she expects each person who comes to the party to drink 2 8-ounce glasses. When we multiply we know that each person will drink 16 ounces total. We can then determine that we can multiply people by 16 and get the total ounces.
