we are given

Hao dog ate 40 cans of dog food in 31 days

it means that

[tex]31 days =40 cans[/tex]

Firstly, we will find for 1 day

we can divide both sides by 31

[tex]\frac{31}{31} day=\frac{40}{31} cans[/tex]

[tex]1 day=\frac{40}{31} cans[/tex]

now, we can multiply both sides by 6

[tex]6*1 day=6*\frac{40}{31} cans[/tex]

[tex]6days=7.74194 cans[/tex]

so,

Hao buy to feed his dog  for for the next 6 days is 7.74194 cans.......Answer
