The word adieu in line 36 entered our language due to?

I don't know what line 36 is referring to, but the word adieu is French for goodbye or God be with you as the literally translation states, "I commend you to God." Adieu was adopted into English in the 1300s and today is used as a formal or humorous farewell. I hope this helped you out!
