B

since both equations express y in terms of x we can equate the right sides

2x + 7 = 25 - x ( add x to both sides )

3x + 7 = 25 ( subtract 7 from both sides )

3x = 18 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 6

substitute x = 6 into either of the 2 equations for y

y = 2x + 7 = ( 2 × 6 ) + 7 = 12 + 7 = 19

solution is (6, 19 )
