We can use the equation   [tex]Peroid = \frac{1}{Frequency} [/tex]   to calculate the frequency.
Rearranging this gives us   [tex]Frequency = \frac{1}{Period} [/tex].
So the frequency is [tex] \frac{1}{2.4} [/tex], which equals 0.42 hertz
(to 2 decimal places).
