The mass of the sample is 17.031.

The mass of a substance don't change. Ammonia or NH3 is a compound of Nitrogen and Hydrogen. Ammonia is classified as a gas.  In this compound, nitrogen has an atomic mass of 14 and hydrogen has 1 and multiply by three therefore the sum of their mass is 17.
