use the point (x,y) and (3,3)

slope = (y-3)/(x-3)

but slope = -1/7

therefore we have;

(y-3)/(x-3)=-1/7

cross multiply;

7(y-3)=-1(x-3)

7y-21=-x+3

make y subject of the formula:

7y=-x+3+21

7y=-x+24

y=-1/7x+24/7

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

here m = - [tex]\frac{1}{7}[/tex] and (a, b) = (3, 3), hence

y - 3 = - [tex]\frac{1}{7}[/tex](x - 3) ← in point- slope form
