where m= mass

and v=velocity

given that,

kinetic energy=493900J

mass =5040kg

making velocity the subject

[tex]v = \sqrt{ \frac{2 \times kinetic \: energy}{mass} } [/tex]

substitute their values in the formula

[tex]v = \sqrt{ \frac{2 \times 493900}{5040} } [/tex]

[tex]v = \sqrt{ \frac{987800}{5040} } [/tex]

[tex]v = \sqrt{196} [/tex]

[tex]v = 14m {s}^{ - 1} [/tex]

Thus the velocity is 14meters per second
