Mrs phleps inquired if someone was injured, Huck replies that no one was injured except for a black man that died. Mrs Phelps was happy although she does not seem to see the death of a black man as tragedy this is ironic, those who will read this story will still see it as a loss of life even though Mrs Phelps does not.
