An opaque bag contains 3 green marbles, 3 red marbles. If two consecutive marbles are drawn without replacement what is the probability that they will both be green?

Total is 6

The first time is 1/2 green.

The second time, since we took one away without putting it back, 1/3 green.

Then, you have to add them together.

Change them first, though.

3/6 + 2/6 = 5/6

We can not simplify it, so 5/6 is the end result.
