The expanded form of a number in a form of Hindu-Arabic numeral is abc = 100a + 10b + c where a refers to the hundredths place, b to the tenths place and c to the ones place.  In this case, with a number 703. a is equal to 7, b is 0 and c is 3. The answer is 100*7 + 3 = 700 + 3.
