The simplified answer to the equation is [tex]y=-\frac{1}{3}x+4[/tex]

First, subtract [tex]\frac{1}{3}x[/tex]  on both sides.

[tex]y=-\frac{1}{3}x+4[/tex]

You have isolated [tex]y[/tex] by itself, and the equation can't be simplified further, so [tex]y=-\frac{1}{3}x+4[/tex]  is your answer.
