first, split it into 2 inequalities
32 > 16 - 4g and 16 - 4g > 12

then just solve each
32 > 16-4g
16 > -4g
-4 < g
(because we divided by a negative number, the sign flips)

16 - 4g > 12
-4g > -4
g < 1

now just put them together again
g < 1 and -4 < g = 1 > g > -4
(you could also do -4 < g < 1)
