If the sum of 8 and 5x is 11, what is the value of 2x?

2x = 6/5 as fraction.

5x + 8 = 11 (minus 8 on both sides)

5x = 3 (divide by 5)

x = .6 or 3/5

NOW if you want to find what 2x equals. We already know what x equal so just multiply x by 2.

2x = 1.2 or

2x = 6/5
