In the pantry, the ratio of apples to bananas is 4:7. There are 28 bananas. How many apples are there?

Answer:

4:7=apples:bananas

4x=apples 7x=bananas=28

7x=28

x=28:7

x=4

Apples are 4x

x=4

4x=4*4=16 apples
