Members of Congress, whom were very shaken and filled with rage following a violent assault on the U.S. Capitol by a mob of President Trump’s supporters, put a final stamp on President-elect Joe Biden’s victory early Thursday morning and brought an end to a historically turbulent post-election period. It was a truly moving election that brought and opened many open wounds in the US nation and brought forth the distrust that many american citizens have with the electoral college and its officials.
