Is the 2 on the end a superscript (elevated outside the parentheses)?

If so:
6 + 5 x (8/2)2 =
6 + 5 x (4)2 =
6 + 5 x 16 =
6 + 80 =
86

If not, and it’s just a 2:
6 + 5 x (4)2 =
6 + 5 x 8 =
6 + 40 =
46
