receipts for admission totaled $588.00. How many children and how many adults swam at the public pool that day ?

What I did to get my answer is I divided 334/2 which is 167 then I multiplied 167(1.50)=$250.5then multiplied 167(2)=$334. Then add $250.5 and $334 together and you get $584.5 then you add $2(1 adult) to $584.5 and you get $586.5 then add $1.50(1 kid) and you get $588.00 and there’s your answer.
