Answer:

Applying the formula for the distance between two points

(-4,3) and (5,16)

x₁=-4 y₁=3

x₂= 5 y₂=16

d = √(y₂-y₁)²+(x₂-x₁)²

d= √(16-3)² + (5-4)²

d=√170

d=13.04units.

The distance between these points give the length of the line connecting them.
