What is the difference between the following equations?:
y=x - 1
y=-1 + x
y - x=-1
y - x + 1=0

Is this a trick question? I don't think there is a difference. If you use the commutative property of addition on the second one it would be the same as the first. If you use the addition property of equality for the third one it would be the same as the first one. Same thing applies to the last one.
