You have to start with the parenthesis. 140-68=72. (remember to use pemdas parenthesis, exponent, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. Then you do 32-72/9=24. 240/8=30. 30-24=6. 6 is the answer.

    240÷8-[32-72÷9]
       240÷8-[32-8]
         240÷8-[24]
