9x+4=58( product means multiply and increase means add)
9x=54
x=6

  • 4 + 9 × x = 58
  • 9x + 4 = 58
  • 9x = 58 - 4 = 54
  • 9x = 58

divide 58 by 9 ( 58 ÷ 9 = 6 )

  • x = 6

now let's find the number ,

  • x × ( 9 + 4 ) = 58

since x = 6 ,

  • 6 × ( 9 + 4 ) = 58

thus the number is 58
