Hi there!

Using the Impulse-Momentum theorem:

I = Δp = mΔv

Where:

I = Impulse (Ns)

m = mass of object (kg)

Δv = change in velocity (vf - vi, m/s)

Plug in the given values and solve:

60 = 5Δv

Δv = 12 m/s
