Answer: The force exerted on an object is the mass of an object times the acceleration of the object: F = ma, where m is the mass in kg, and F is in kg m/s2 = Newton. Work is the force exerted on an object times the distance over which the force is exerted: W = Fx, where W is the work in Nm = Joule.
