WHO WERE NAYANKARAS?

— Nayankaras is the government that existed in the provinces was called the Nayankara system. It was equivalent to that of European feudalism. All the land was, as per the scheme, owned by the rulers. He assigned the land to his generals.

WHY WERE THEY APPOINTED?
