Not all mutations are bad because mutations are the cause of evolution and are the reason organisms adapt in new places. For example, a species of mice that were originally grey can migrate to a desert and as time goes on, their fur can turn lighter so they can survive better in that environment. Mutations help organisms of all kind to help thrive better in different environments.
