What is the slope of the line represented by the equation 4x + 8y = 4 ?

slope is measured by rise over run or the equation y=mx + b
m is the slope and b is the y intercept

4x + 8y =4  subtract 4x from both sides

8y = -4x +4   divide both sides by 8

y = -1/2x +1/2

your slope is - 1/2
