The new era of prosperous industry brought with it an empire of monopolistic corporations and corruption.With new markets and economic opportunities, the economy of the Gilded Age was greatly influenced by our modern policy of free enterprise, which is,  the freedom of private businesses to operate competitively for profit with minimal government regulation.  I hope my answer has come to your help.
