I believe that artists use musical imagery so frequently in their compositions to appeal to all of our senses, to paint a picture in our minds so that we can envision it clearly as if we are truly there. Music and words are tightly connected, and often one cannot truly exist without the other, and imagery is usually created through the usage of vivid and descriptive words.
