The area and perimeter of rectangle are respectively;  160 cm² and 24√5 cm

What is the length of the rectangle?

We are given;

Diagonal of rectangle = 20 cm

Ratio of two sides of rectangle = 2:1

Thus, let the length of sides be x and 2x. Thus;

x² + (2x)² = 20²

5x² = 400

x² = 400/5

x² = 80

x = √80

Thus, area of rectangle is;

A = 2(√80) * √80

A = 160 cm²

Perimeter = 2(2(√80) + √80)

Perimeter = 6√80 = 24√5 cm
