How did the Crusades change European thinking?

Answer:

The Europeans learned about new concepts in math as well as a new numbering system, called Hindu Arabic Numerals, that we still use today. They also gained a greater knowledge of medicine and other subjects. A lot of new trade possibilities were made available to Europeans thanks to the Crusades.
