Write an equation of the line that is perpendicular to the line y=2x+8, and which passes through the point (6,-2)

Perpendicular means the slope will be the opposite reciprocal of 2, or -1/2.
-2= (-1/2)6 + b
-2 = -3 + b
1 = b
y = -1/2 x + 1
