Multiply 2 by -6.

y=2x-1
y=2(-6)-1
y= -12-1
y= -13
all you do is work backward to get the true value of y 
y=2x-1 
0=2x-1
then solve  this should get you the answer x=1 
so the two xvalues are -6 and 1
