width= w
lenght = 6 width = 6w

area= 284 yd²
       = (width)(length)
       = (w)(6w)
       = 6w²

6w²= 284
w²= 284/6
    = 47.333333....
w=√47.2
  = 6.88 inches

perimenter = 2width+ 2 lenght
                  = 2(w) + 2(6w)
                  = 2w+12w
                  = 14w
                  = 14(6.88)
                  = 96.28 inches
