If there are 2 sides that are 3 cm longer than the width, subtract 6 (because 2 sides) from the perimeter. 28. Now divide 28 by 2 to find out the length of one pair of parallel sides. 14. Add three to find out the length of the other pair of sides. So now you have 14 and 17. Multiply those 2 together to find the area. 238 is your answer.

P=2l+2w
34=2(w+3)+2w
W=7cm
L=10cm since L is the width+3
A=lw
A=(10)(7)
A=70 cm squared
