The answer is [tex](-\infty, -2] \cup [10, \infty)[/tex]

The first portion [tex](-\infty, -2][/tex] represents the inequality [tex]z\le-2[/tex]

The second portion [tex][10, \infty)[/tex] represents the inequality [tex]z\ge10[/tex]

The big U symbol is the union symbol to effectively glue the two intervals together.
