The American colonists were all similar in several ways. The colonists had their own self government system and the people governing were chosen mostly from farmers that had their own lands and also voted for the provincial government. All the colonies were similar in the fact that all white men had the voting rights and most black men were slaves. All the colonies were rich and had good amount of food and so their growth rate was also very high.
