True. With Earth's tilt the equator is mostly at the same point as the Earth rotates. So yes at one time one pole will have most of the sunlight than the other. So if more sunlight is at the North pole then it will be having summer and the south pole will be having winter and or visa versa. But the equator is the middle line of Earth so even with the tilt it is still in the middle. So even as we rotate it will mostly get the same amount of sunlight.
