Well, condensation is when a substance goes from a gas to a liquid. If you look at the Kinetic Molecular Theory, it says that the more compact the molecules are, the less energy they hold. Considering that gas molecules are more spread out than liquid molecules, there is less energy in the liquid molecules, ergo the motion of the molecules slow down in condensation.
