3.4 as a fraction is [tex] \frac{34}{10} [/tex] which simplifies to [tex] \frac{17}{5} [/tex] or [tex]3 \frac{2}{5} [/tex] .

3.4 = [tex]3 \frac{4}{10} [/tex] = [tex]3 \frac{2}{5} [/tex]
