How did geography affect egypt's economy?

Geography influenced affected Egypt's economy because the Egyptians needed water, and because living in a desert there isn't much water. They relied heavily on the Nile river. Without the Nile river Egypt would not have existed, or at least modern day man would not have known of its existence.
