Let's set the amount of money that Sue put in each week as x.

The amount of money she would have saved in 15 weeks is 15x. However, she took 9 dollars out and had 21 left over.

Set up an equation.
15x-9=21
15x=39
x=2

Sue put in $2 every week.

Hope this helps!
