just plug in and solve 
5x − 3y − z → 5(-2) − 3(2) − (-3)

5(-2) − 3(2) − (-3) → -10 - 6 +3

-10 - 6 +3 → -16 + 3 

-16 + 3 = -13 

answer is -13
