Well since white light is a collection of many different colors and each color is made up of light waves of a different wavelength and frequency to the other waves. When white light is refracted through a lens or a prism the light split into separate colors. So the same actually goes for all light waves being reflected off in an equal amount which then appears on the object in the color white.
