Why is it that bacterial ribosomes can begin translation before mrna synthesis is completed, but eukaryotic ribosomes cannot?

Answer: Bacterial DNA is directly exposed to the cytoplasm, which has the ribosomes on which protein synthesis takes place. As the mRNA molecule proceeds for synthesis, ribosomes immediately attach to the free 6' end of the RNA transcript and begin translating it into protein.
