The characters of Miss Prism and Chasuble were not fully developed in the play when compared to the principle characters. The two characters were developed as comedic and were slightly bizarre caricatures. They were nonliterary and the author uses them to make a comment on religions and morality. The book “The Importance of Being Earnest" is a playwright written by Oscar Wilde.
