we have that
 2 1/4------------ > (8+1)/4=9/4
7 1/2--------------- > (14+1)/2=15/2
1 1/4------------- > (4+1)/4=5/4

then
(9/4-15/2)------------ >(9-15*2)/4=-21/4
-21/4/(-5/4)=21*4/(5*4)=84/20=42/10=21/5

the answer is  21/5
