The statement is expressed as
L = kh
where k is constant
In terms of k,
k = L/h
Given L = 112 and h = 16
k = 112/-16 = -7

it varies directly
that means that when when L goes up, h also increases, when L decreases, h also decreases
so the constant is k where k=y/x
in this case it is k=L/h so subsitute
L=112
h=-16
k=L/h
k=112/-16
k=-7
the constant is -7
